A research advisory board was set up to provide scientific backing for the project. The research advisory board comprises ten experts from the areas of research on violence, gender studies and survey research as well as victim support and medicine. By covering various disciplines, the advisory board offers a wide range of methodological and professional expertise. The board provides advice on designing the survey instrument in terms of contents and methodology and supports the entire process of implementing the survey on unreported crime. An ethics committee was set up within the board to provide support and advice when questions related to research ethics arise in the course of the project.
