Bundeskriminalamt (BKA)

Autumn Conference 2021

In view of the coronavirus situation, the 66th Autumn Conference of the Bundeskriminalamt, held on 17 and 18 November 2021, had been planned to take place in a hybrid format for the first time. However, given the rising numbers of coronavirus infections the BKA decided to hold a virtual conference only and refrain from hosting an in-person event. The guests invited to participate in the conference had the opportunity to follow the contributions and Q&A sessions live via a digital event platform and to access further information relating to the conference on that platform. The management of the Bundeskriminalamt and most of the speakers had their contributions broadcast from the conference hall, which had been converted into a studio.

Under the heading

the question was explored of how the challenges of current fragmentation can be met in the context of society as a whole, but also in the context of police work. In three thematic blocks that built on each other, we had a look, among other things, at divisive tendencies, the impact of various crime phenomena as well as future-oriented approaches.
