In view of the coronavirus situation, the 66th Autumn Conference of the Bundeskriminalamt, held on 17 and 18 November 2021, had been planned to take place in a hybrid format for the first time. However, given the rising numbers of coronavirus infections the BKA decided to hold a virtual conference only and refrain from hosting an in-person event. The guests invited to participate in the conference had the opportunity to follow the contributions and Q&A sessions live via a digital event platform and to access further information relating to the conference on that platform. The management of the Bundeskriminalamt and most of the speakers had their contributions broadcast from the conference hall, which had been converted into a studio.
