Cybercrime Conference 2021

At the C³ Cybercrime Conference, experts exchange knowledge and ideas on current cybercrime developments as well as the resulting strategic and operational challenges.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, this year's Cybercrime Conference (C³) will be held as a virtual event on 10 and 11 May 2021. The conference is organised by the Bundeskriminalamt and the DSI (Digital Society Institute at the European School of Management and Technology GmbH –ESMT-) under the motto

European Strategies to Address a Global Challenge.

In our digitally interconnected world, cybercrime is one of the most dynamically changing crime phenomena. And cybercrime knows hardly any geographical boundaries. Perpetrators can commit their crimes from anywhere in the world and attack almost any target worldwide. They flexibly adapt to developments in technology and society.

In order to be able to act just as flexibly in the fight against cybercrime, the cooperation between the appropriate German authorities and stakeholders from the fields of politics, business and research plays a decisive role. In addition, an intensive exchange as well as a trusting cooperation with international partners are important in fighting cybercrime successfully.

The C³ conference format was created in 2015 to give its participants the opportunity to maintain existing contacts, but also to expand their networks. Moreover, the C³ offers a platform for the professional exchange regarding lessons learned, know-how and digital trends.

At the C³, international experts speak about various topics related to cybercrime and other digital issues. In this context, participants have the opportunity to ask speakers from the fields of law enforcement, IT security, business, research and politics questions about developments, findings and ideas.

Not only will interesting presentations be given at the C³: Martina Link, Vice-President of the Bundeskriminalamt, will also present the 2020 Federal Situation Report on Cybercrime to the audience and the media.
